Your Day at the Homestead

Start your journey with a refreshing welcome drink and a guided walk through our five-acre hilltop. Learn about the unique volcanic soil of Mt. Usu that makes our produce so vibrant.

Step into the Barn Kitchen for an experience in Hokkaido seafood and seasonal meat preparation. Our extensive local contacts allow us access to premium ingredients generally not available to the public.

The highlight of the day. We gather at the long table to enjoy the multi-course meal you’ve prepared, paired with local juices, wines, or sake in a relaxing, homely atmosphere.

Hand-made Ikura Experience

Ikura is the quintessential autumn delicacy in Hokkaido. Enhance your Hokkaido Gourmet Experience by adding this option. You will learn the techniques of preparing ikura in this hands-on experience, and you will get to enjoy the freshest salmon roe possible as part of the seafood course of your Hokkaido Gourmet Experience.

Snowshoe and Gourmet Experience

A day at HOKKAIDian Homestead can be more than just great food and cooking fun.  With our panoramic view of Hokkaido nature, guests can enjoy snowshoeing and appreciate the majestic views the winter.  In this experience, guests will spend the morning snowshoeing with a certified nature guide before returning indoors to enjoy the full Hokkaido Gourmet Experience.

Time:  9am to 3pm (Snowshoe from 9am to 11am, gourmet experience from 11am to 3pm)
